Very Pleased! Our previous Dog Sitter had been with us for several years and we know her so well but due to ill health, she had to cancel three weeks before our 14-day trip. We considered calling off our holiday; the thought of a stranger looking after our two Dogs, Chinchilla and Home filled us with dread! I found House and Home Sitters online and contacted the owner Dave at about 11 pm that night, he replied straight away saying he could help. The reviews online are fantastic, they DBS check their Sitters and have full Insurance (your home insurance often won’t cover a House-Sitter) We were assigned, Sandra; I agreed to a Facetime/phone interview (we were very short on time but could have asked for a face to face meeting) and booked a slot to speak to her, Sandra is a very Professional and Personable Woman and I immediately felt at ease with her. Sandra moved dates around last minute to accommodate our holiday plans (there was no financial incentive for her to do so) she also drove nearer to our location the day before at her cost and stayed in a B&B just in case traffic was bad the day we were leaving. (I had offered a place at ours but she didn’t want to get in the way of us getting ready for the holiday) Our Dogs absolutely loved her, Sandra gave us regular updates throughout the holiday. My Husband and I felt totally comfortable knowing Sandra was looking after everything. When we got back the house was immaculate, Dog bathed (she needs regular medicated baths as has a skin condition) the Chinchilla cleaned out and happy. I am already arranging dates to for our next holiday and hopeful Sandra will cover it. My Dogs were actually grumpy for a day when we got home because they missed her!!
